What Tumblr has taught me

I consider myself an avid Tumblr user. I spend A LOT of my time scrolling through the depths of Tumblr. For those of you who don't know what Tumblr is, it's basically a blogging site, but you don't really blog as such... you re-blog stuff, which is basically forwarding a post on someone else's blog onto yours. It's among the most frequently visited of my social media platforms. Tumblr has taught many things. It has taught me that it doesn't take much to keep me entertained. I have attained the ability to mindlessly scroll through Tumblr for many hours at a time. There's just something so entertaining about gazing at the endless re-blogs on my dashboard. It has taught me how strange the internet and its inhabitants have the capacity to be. There is some weird stuff on the internet and much of it manages to seep its way into the realms of Tumblr. If you're following the wrong blogs you're in for a surprise. Luckily I have never had the misfortune

October 11, 2016 // One year later

My mind is full of thoughts but I’m not sure how to put them into sentences. For so long, I’ve wanted to express my experience but I haven’t found the right words. I’ve been away for so long, not just from this blog, but from life as a whole. I last posted on the 5 th of March, 2016, so it’s been a while. An explanation as to why I’ve been away is probably called for. Today, October 11, is an important day. It marks exactly one year since the accident that set me off on this crazy journey. I purposely chose to post today because of this milestone. Since the last time I posted life has taken the most unexpected turn.

Just sharing some stuff...

Since I spend prolonged periods of time on the internet, sometimes I stumble across videos that I find interesting and inspiring. I wanted to share these videos with you guys because everyone needs a bit of inspiration from time to time. This first video is called "Life Doesn't Wait" by Connor Franta. Combining spoken word poetry with talented video and editing skills, he presents a poem about doing what you want now because life doesn't wait. The literary side of the video is amazing as well as the visuals which enhance the experience. Connor Franta is generally a YouTuber that I would recommend subscribing to. Welcome, to the very first instalment of Tunesday! Tunesday is a series I will be starting where on the first Tuesday of every month I'll share a list of my favourite beats from the past 30 days. As an avid lover of all music, I've compiled some groovy tunes to hopefully introduce you to a world of undiscovered music that you will fall in love with. I do understand that music is subjective. If you don't like my taste then that is totally okay, I won't be offended, but if you do then it's your lucky day. Songs are filtered into three categories; soft electronic, acoustic and alternative, to give you an idea of the song's sound. Cavalier // Electronic // James McMorrow This song is the epitome of chill. Cavalier is a perfect addition to any '4.a.m. Comedown' playlist.
